ISSUE 1

WELCOME

Welcome to our first Olympia newsletter, a quarterly newsletter where you will find a timely selection of inspirational west London news. We love this area – its proximity to central London, green spaces, neighbourly community, we could go on… And, as you know, Olympia itself is changing to become even greater. An extensive regeneration program will elevate it into London’s newest cultural landmark: a destination for art, culture, entertainment, education, music, exhibitions, incredible offices, and great food and drink. We hope this launch issue inspires you to do something different – be that big or small – in our vibrant neighbourhood.

Thank you for reading and welcome to our Love Olympia community.

Pentolina
Pentolina
Brook Green

A small family-run restaurant, this is a local favourite. Pull up a chair at one of their wooden tables and settle in for some amazing, Italian cooking. Menu items include dishes like paccheri with black kale pesto, fresh tomatoes and aged ricotta; pappardelle with rabbit ragu; baked sea bass and pigeon. We love their street side tables – on a sunny day, they really can’t be beat.

HomeLess Made
Hammersmith

What started as an activity by The Barons Court Project – creating art together for people living with homelessness and mental health conditions – has turned into a social enterprise after seeing the response to the initial sale of their greeting cards. Buy a piece of artwork and get something that not only looks good, but helps to boost the self-esteem and finances of an artist who’s having difficulties. If you are interested in volunteering, they have a variety of different opportunities for individuals or corporate teams too – email for more information.
