Run by the Kazolides family since 1966, Halepi’s authentic, relaxed atmosphere is refreshing. Enter through their doors on Leinster Terrace, and feel like you’ve stepped into their home. It’s all bright tablecloths, velvet bucket seats, wood panelling, rattan lampshades, and a crowd of locals (including some A-listers) who have been coming for years. A classic Greek menu includes a large selection of daily fresh fish; specialties like klefticon (lamb with spices) and afelia (pork cooked in wine); as well as Greek wines and a reasonably priced house Champagne.
